Infotainment
Infotainment Is Much More Than Just Entertainment
Our systems are successfully applied all across the world by Kenworth, Peterbilt and DAF. We develop infotainment systems with components such as
- navigation and routing
- bi-directional signalling
- address books
- camera integration
- entertainment
The software supports multilingual interfaces and permits driver registration. It can be configured and fed with data either by direct access from the administrator or additionally âover the airâ through a telematics portal.
Fast and Safely Reaching Your Aim
Do you need user-friendly route planning which also meets LGV-specific demands? Benefit from our experience. For our route calculations, we take into consideration not only standard information like toll roads and ferries or using TMC (Traffic Message Channel), but we also consider LGV-specific requirements. By including parameters such as length, width, height and weight of the LGV, we are able to add bridge weight limits, height and width of tunnels, bridges and underpasses, the required radius for U-turns and hairpin bends to the route planning. Moreover, we can provide details for transports of hazardous goods in order to exclude roads from the routing which are closed to this kind of traffic.
Being Informed in Every Situation
While we are developing our modules, we never forget to consider aspects of security, as well. In order to minimise distractions while driving, standard messages can be sent with little effort and in no time. You can formulate the content of these short messages in advance. Furthermore, it is possible to transmit specific information directly e.g. to breakdown services in case of need. Free-text messages may only be written and sent when the vehicle is parked. Finally, a keyboard can optionally be connected to make entries easier.
Contact Data for Many Modules
Address books facilitate the choice of destinations within the navigation and complement the communications systems. Contact data can thus also be used to send messages or to operate mobile phones.
Always Know What Is Going On
Keep track of things even at blind bends, crossroads etc. The installation of up to four cameras allows you to overlook the blind spot, the front and rear view and to monitor the cargo.
Looking into the Future
There is no standstill in our developments. We work on ground-breaking solutions in order to improve the employment of your staff, trailer and freight management, surveillance of temperature and pressure sensors, carrying out remote diagnoses and the integration of applications developed by other providers. Moreover, we examine possible fields of application for innovative technologies such as interactive voice response systems.
