The GISponent tool is designed for scheduling and optimising logistic support services in a geographic environment. GISponent represents an effective cooperation between the geographic information system (GIS) visor and a database where the necessary background information is stored. This system is particularly suitable for call centres and hotlines.
As a general rule, it is possible to feed the information system with any data. It can be effectively used wherever it is necessary to access exact geographic positions or where you have to enter, access or evaluate individual database contents. An intuitive user guidance and ergonomically designed menus simplify the handling and contribute to assistance which is both fast and effective. The implementation of the cartographic information system GISponent into the existing communications structure leads to an accelerated order processing in call centres. Moreover, means of communication such as fax or telephone are integrated into the application.
Features
GISponent comprises software, data and services. Besides the right software for case management – gispo-Basis – and software which helps locating addresses – georef –, the geographic information system visor is used to display information on a map. GISponent is connected with a relational database like Oracle, SQL Server or Microsoft Access.
Expandability
Routing Module
The routing module enables searching for a route which takes waypoints into consideration. It is possible to minimise the route according to distance, time or costs. In order to do so, the vehicle profile which the user has stored and which he can freely configure is included in the calculations. The data contain toll information, as far as is available.
Optimisation Module
The optimisation module automatically puts the intermediate stops into the most efficient order or suggests alternative routes.
