Telematics for Different Lines of Business

Telematics Systems From One Source for Each Line of Business

Telematics means more than mere vehicle tracking and tracing. It also proposes a variety of options for mobile units which you can use for your purposes, too. Our applications are successfully used by

  • LGV haulage companies
  • companies specialized in container logistics on sea, track and road
  • transport companies for refrigerated goods
  • transport companies for hazardous goods
  • suppliers of building material
  • service providers at sea- and airports

Since we belong to OHB, we are able to offer you complete solutions consisting not only of our telematics portal or individual applications, but also including hardware components from our sister company OHB Teledata. Thus, you receive your telematics solutions from one single source.

Haulage Companies with Mixed Fleets

Our telematics applications are ideally suited for mixed fleets. Our developer-independent portal solutions offer you

  • vehicle tracing and tracking
  • bi-directional signalling
  • display and analysis of incoming data
  • fleet and user management

Supporting Worldwide Container Logistics

Our TIPSweb portal makes it possible to localise and trace containers independent of the transport route. Autonomous telematics units suitable for unmanned transports are employed for this purpose (with satellite modems, e.g. for ORBCOMM, and antenna).

How to Keep a Level Head

Besides standard track and trace, we have developed a special function which monitors the transmitted temperatures of transports with refrigerated goods. Separate reports inform you about the temperature profile as well as about the opening of doors and serve as a proof for maintaining the cold chain. If the temperature exceeds or falls below critical values, you are at once informed by SMS, fax or email and are thus able to immediately react in an appropriate way.

Safely Reaching Your Destination

When transporting hazardous goods, it is not sufficient to just follow the route on a map. In these cases, we additionally use the so-called geofencing. A geofence is a geographically limited area. Not only do critical changes of monitored values set off alarm messages, but leaving the permitted routes also generates SMS, fax or email messages which will instantly inform you about occurring problems.

Are You Wondering What Has Happened to Your Valuable Building Material?

We enable you to control the location, transport and delivery of building material. Geofencing is once again used to do so. You are informed right away via transmitted positioning and status data when the material has reached the building site and when it is unloaded. An Intranet solution allows you to manage building sites and to configure the data transmission.

Quickly Passing Customs at Sea- and Airports

The system we developed is based on active RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) and guarantees fast and easy customs clearance. It consists of one or several base stations and a number of mobile devices which automatically inform the drivers about their status in the customs area.
