Telematics for Mixed Vehicle Fleets and Other Mobile Objects

Our TIPSweb products (TIPS stands for: Tracking, Identification, Positioning and Security) consist of components which are on board or on the out-side of the mobile object (e.g. board units) and a web portal that grants you worldwide access without needing to install extra software. The transmission of the data takes place either terrestrially via GSM (GPRS, SMS) or via satellite.

TIPSweb supports you managing and scheduling your vehicle fleet or your unattended mobile units. It permits

• track and trace of mobile objects
• bi-directional signalling between the portal and the mobile unit
• configurable alarm reports
• display and analysis of incoming data
• fleet management and user administration

Fast Information About Current Positions

The display of the maps is ensured by our geo server internet visor, which guarantees that positions are shown fast and accurately. Our cooperation with NAVTEQ enables us to provide high-quality map material with data covering countries all across Europe.

Icons help to visualise position reports on the map, while tooltips display additional information, e.g. exact addresses. You can determine yourself how often the latest position of any of your units is transmitted. Moreover, you are able to request any current position whenever you want to.

Staying Informed

You are always updated about the status of your fleet. For instance, you know if a LGV is in operation or not and you see its latest position reports. According to the vehicle equipment, text messages can be sent to and received from the vehicle.

Evaluating Your Data

The incoming data of your units can be grouped into individual reports. Depending on the type of the on-board unit, the analyses include for example information about

• driving behaviour
• speed
• temperature
• voltage
• energy consumption

The data are presented in tabular or graphic form. Exporting the results of the evaluation in Excel format or as PDF (Portable Document Format) is possible, too.

Administration of Your Own Fleet and Users

Fleet management permits you amongst others to rename, configure and group your mobile units. The portal is a multitenant application, which means you can set up as many user accounts inside your own area as you wish and then create subcategories to which you can again assign users, rights, modules etc. Last but not least, multi-language functions permit an international use of the system. Adapting Our Software to Your Needs

TIPSweb is designed on a modular concept and can thus be customised to your individual requirements, be they just the basic transmission of positions, the sending of messages or the evaluation of vehicle data in order to optimise your fleet. We also take into consideration specific individual requests, for example the forwarding of alarm messages by SMS or fax. Finally, it is partly possible to adjust the appearance of the portal to your own corporate design.
